Upon graduation from the Arts Magnet High School for the Performing Arts in Dallas, Cassandra studied Music Theory and Business Accounting at Oklahoma City University and the University of North Texas. She is a certified Vocal Pedagogist of more than 20 years. Cassandra began singing professionally through a national production company at the tender age of 6! She now works as a Professional Recording Artist, Vocal Coach, and Corporate Caterer. She was most recently featured on Season 9 of NBC’s The Voice Team Adam Levine where she made it to the Battle Rounds. Her experience includes Six Flags over Texas, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Various Local & Broadway Plays, Disney World, Disney Land, Lead Role in Tyler Perry Play, “Why Did I Get Married” (year 2000). While completing her college education and several years after, she sang background for major recording artists such as Gladys Knight, Pattie Labelle, Anita baker, Celine Dion, Michael Bolton, Barry White, Barry Manilow, Gladys Knight, SOS Band, Mary J, Blige, John Legend, Elton John, Sting, Wayman Tisdale, Jonathan Butler, George Duke, Al Jarreau, Najee.
As Gospel Recording Artist, she is featured as soloist on 15 professional recordings. She is most acclaimed for her lead vocals on the multiple platinum selling, Grammy Award winning, Kirk Franklin & The Family debut CD Why We Sing for the song, “Silver and Gold”. She has shared the stage with and has been featured on shows with such Gospel Artists as the late Walter Hawkins, Tramain Hawkins, Dr. Bobby Jones, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, John P. Kee, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Kim Burrell, Byron Cage, Kurt Carr, Israel Houghton, Mary Alessi, David and Nicole Binion, and many more. She is the owner of Face the Music Vocal Coaching in McKinney, TX. She truly embodies the term “Renaissance Woman”. She is founder and owner of Crossroads, a music ministry to terminally ill hospital patients. She owns and operates Food For Thought Catering, and in 2002, her dedication to the empowerment of women led her to establish Journeys for Women, a Christian Women’s Social Network.
Cassandra has achieved national acclaim as a professional recording artist, songwriter, and speaker. Of all her accomplishments, she is most proud of her strong faith. Cassandra’s career has taken her around the world. She is an international speaker and recording artist with a voice that moves the soul!
